On Monday I watered our garden. The weather was sunny and low 80’s, however the past week has been a little cooler. The buds are growing quite rapidly and are showing their green leaves. I wasn’t sure how high of pressure to use on the hose so I showered the plants without flooding them. There were some weeds growing around the plants which had to be removed. One of the purple plants looked a little drooped so I propped it up with soil.

Today was a dark, cold, rainy and overall gloomy day in Columbia. It had been raining off and on before my scheduled watering time of 3pm. The night before it had also poured rain. Therefore, when I went to the garden at 3pm the soil was already soaked. Due to the soil conditions, any additional watering was unnecessary because it would not be good for the plants to become over-watered. The last time I had seen the garden was when the seeds were planted. The plants had come quite a long way since then.

At first I thought the water was too strong and would ruin the plants, but it turned out okay. I watered the plants till I felt like the soil was damp. The plants seem to be growing well, which is great.

photoToday I watered the garden for about 15 minutes. It looked dry and it has been hot this week so that’s why I watered it for so long. I removed weeds and trash that was in the garden. The plants seem to be growing well. The one in the picture is growing very well and looks nice. The other plants are also coming in and sprouting up good.
